Outpost Defense

Outpost Defense passively generates Core Dust at all times. You can also do up to 11 wipeouts a day to collect extra Core Dust with gems.

Rates & wipeout costs

Outpost Defense produces 24 hrs of Core Dust per day on its own. Every wipeout pays the same 2 hrs, and the first one each day is free. After that, each wipeout costs more gems than the last. The diminishing returns come from cost, not payout.

Guide

What Outpost Defense is

Outpost Defense generates Credits, Battle Data, Core Dust, and commander EXP even while the game is closed. Claim the rewards from the Outpost Defense screen in your Outpost. The Wipe Out button is on the same screen.

How wipeouts work

A wipeout pays 2 hours of Outpost Defense production instantly. You get the same Credits, Battle Data, and Core Dust that two hours of normal production would give you. Paid wipeouts must be done in order, so wipeout 5 is not available until you have done 1 through 4 that day. You can do at most 11 per day, and the counter starts over at the daily reset.

The first paid wipeout converts at 0.040 hrs/gem and the last one at 0.004. Doing all 11 adds 20 paid hours on top of the free 24, but the last few wipeouts are some of the worst gem-to-dust conversions on this site.

Why this site counts hours, not dust

How much raw Core Dust an hour of production contains depends on your Outpost Defense level and your Tactics Academy lessons. Outpost Defense levels up once for every five campaign stages you clear. The hour count is the same for every account. Everyone gets 24 passive hours and 2 hours per wipeout, so numbers written in hours apply to any account.

When wipeouts are worth buying

Always take the free one. Paid wipeouts are mid-tier value. The cheap ones beat the Common Shop’s best deals, but even wipeout 2 at 0.040 hrs/gem is five times worse than buying event stage entries at 0.200. The planner works out how many wipeouts your daily budget should buy.
